There's definitely an old-school feel to this show.  It immediately reminded me of various 70's robot shows and mid-80's anime OVAs like Iczer 1.  There's also a touch of the supernatural that was reminicent of some earlier animes I can't quite put my finger on.

All in all I wasn't terribly impressed by what this show has to offer, but Tellu's translation is quite excellent.

Shows like this don't really appeal to me, but I'll watch a few more eps to see how it goes.

deleted it after watching 5 minutes of it, not due to the job done on it, but the  anime story itself.

Rouran's plot dramatically alters itself a few episodes in.  The focus pretty rapidly shifts away from Shiromorishuu vs. ASY as Rouran enters the picture.

i didnt' even like Eva and only watched it because so many people refer to it, i dislike big monsters and robots running around in a city, it brings back too many horrid memories of gay power rangers and such.

anyway, i hope not everyone is like me so your efforts will not be in vain.

The ep 2 raw was extraordinarily clean.  I'm impressed with the overall quality of the fansub too.  The story is now beginning to take shape with this ep, but it's too early for me to decide if I like it yet.  I snickered when the robots power sorce (in a funny location) started to react to the girl.
Needless to say, I'm getting more intrigued with the story now.

Sugar-Cube seems to be made up of the remnants of some Rice-Box staffers.  I was wondering where they went.  Skull_Leader has done some good work in the past.

Thanks for your interest in the show!

Sugar-Cube is actually the remants of the ancient fansub group "Anime-World", who are now long-gone and crystallized and fossilized and vanished from the scene, though I believe they still have a channel.  For whatever reason several of our members ended up in ricebox.

I'll say this again, there's a lot more going on between Shiromorishuu and ASY than "I'm good and you're evil, let's fight!", and even then, the battle between those two organizations is only the backdrop to the story, it really revolves around Rouran and to a certain degree, Tetsuya.

I finally watched both episodes.  The jury is still out.
Though I did slap myself on the forehead when the robot thing reacted to the girl.   Rolling Eyes   LOL

I am curious to see who Rouran is since whathisfaces's dad seemed to recognize her face, and was in a hurry to get rid of her.  He seems to have lied about her being part of the other group to achieve this goal?  I don't know.

Yes, the placement of that "reactor" was rather suggestive. I'm with Kaze-Blue, still not sure about this one. But it seems like it may have some potential, depending on where the story goes. BTW, what's with the 12 minute episodes?

I explain a little bit about the quarter-hour format in the other thread in this forum:

I just viewed the 3 eps and decided that I liked them. I still wait for the story to be built to know if I will like it more or not. But at first, graphics and characters could be great
